What about pemphigus foliaceus, erythematous variant(Senear-Usher syndrome)?

This site is a good  teaching site. Many thanks for DR mona Abdalahalim as she informed me by this site in 2013. it was the main reason for my passing  international board exam in dermatopathology december 2015.

Agree with colleagues.Pemphigus erythematosus.IF may show a lupus band like deposition in addition to intercellular epidermal fluorescence.

Yes, this is superficial pemphigus.

The IMF showed intercellular positivity for IgG, but no dermo-epidermal positivity for immunoglobulins or C3. Also ANA was negative, so I called this pemphigus foliaceous rather than pemphigus erythematosus. 

 

 

Congrats to Sadat!! This is indeed an extremely educational website.

Would urge members who regularly visit spot diagnosis, but do not put in a diagnosis to do so. Its the best way to learn. Do not be afraid of making mistakes, we are all learning here!
