[color=#1C2837][font=arial, verdana, tahoma, sans-serif][size=4]Agree with intradermal desmoplastic nevus once Ki-67 is very low, although I'd feel more comfortable after seeing the whole lesion provided by an excisional biopsy.[/size][/font][/color]

Agree with desmoplastic nevus. Minimal Ki67 staining (<1%), and preservation of P16 staining (nuclear and cytoplasmic).

This is just a replication of my comment posted early today. [color=#1C2837][font=arial, verdana, tahoma, sans-serif][size=4]Intradermal desmoplastic nevus, if HMB45+ I would go for spitzoid blue nevus (replicate post)[/size][/font][/color]

Nice case Mark. We collected a lot of hypomelanotic S100 weak/negative blue naevi and one or two showed a focally naevocellular area-like pattern as in this case. Like the others I had gone with desmoplastic naevus rather than blue naevus but would certainly accept this as the latter. The site is also very good for blue naevus.
