My impression was also hidradenitis supurativa and because of the previous history i thought of exacerbation of the disease secondary o radiation. Here an article

Cutaneous extension of a mammary apocrine carcinoma is the main source of concern, but the lack of overall features of invasive breast malignancy and the presence of abscess formation with inflammatory involvement of apocrine glands by neutrophilic infiltrate make the diagnosis of hidradenitis suppurativa more likely.

I wondered about the possibility of Neutrophilic Eccrine Hideradenitis (NEH) especially in someone in her 60s with a background of a cancer and likely recent exposure to chemotherapy. Relatively late age for start of HS.

Apocrine adenitis next to an abscess - looks like hidradentitis supurativa without the history. Nice pigment in the apocrine glands. I'd have to ask if NEH can be seen in the apocrine glands?

Note sure what the final diagnosis was in this case (NEH vs HS) as no comment from Hafeez as yet.

Richrad, below is a link to an article in AJDP which probably address your question (from the Abstract, not read it in detail).

I was out of town last week, so here is a late posting.  Neutrophilic eccrine hidradenits secondary to chemotherapy.
