It is our pleasure to invite you to the XVI meeting for the Society for Ultrastructural Pathology to be held on August 6-10, 2012 in the historical town of Regensburg, Germany.
The Society was formed in 1986 with the mission to support and promote the application of electron microscopy in pathologic diagnosis and research of human diseases. Over the years the scope of biennial meetings expanded and includes immunochemistry, molecular and cellular biology; now in the time of rapid increase of information and paradigm change in the field of health care we are facing new challenges.
The conference addresses practicing surgical pathologists, trainees, and other scientists involved in pathological diagnosis and research. The scientific program of the UltraPath XVI will cover the traditional significant areas of pathology and three dedicated sessions:[list]

[*]EM and transplantology
[*]EM in pathological basic research.

Description: The goal of the 2012 annual clinically oriented meeting of the EORTC Cutaneous Lymphoma Task Force is to highlight important new developements in the areas of clinical and basic sciences as well as pathogenesis, diagnosis, and therapy of cutaneous lymphomas. Description: Each year sees the development of many new lasers and light sources, skin tightening devices, relaxers, fillers, and other cosmetic interventions, each with proponents and opponents. The claims and disclaims that follow the development of these devices is often contradictory. Marketing often precedes the availability of good information about their efficacy and risks. A faculty of distinguished speakers will present their views and develop a consensus on many of these controversies and other emerging areas. “Controversies†offers participants a unique opportunity to discuss these controversial topics in a collegial atmosphere with a large group of experts in the field. This course will be of benefit to beginner and experienced laser and aesthetic surgeons, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists, ophthalmologists, oculoplastic surgeons, and other health care personnel interested in the current status of cutaneous and cosmetic surgery.
