Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is a pleasure to invite you to the 10th EUROPEAN CONGRESS OF TOXICOLOGIC PATHOLOGY organised by the European Society of Toxicologic Pathology (ESTP) with the support of the Italian Society of Toxicologic and Experimental Pathology (SIPTS). This global event will be held on September 11th – 14th, 2012 at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Stresa, Italy.

Stresa is located on the banks of the beautiful Lake Maggiore. Stresa is a city with several hundreds years of history offering picturesque places for visits, including historical villas and gardens, and wonderful surroundings. In addition, late afternoon or evening boat tours on the lake could be a nice opportunity to enjoy some relaxing moments after the congress sessions.
The main topics for the 10th European Congress of Toxicologic Pathology are

Toxicopathology of Soft Tissue & Musculo-Skeletal System
The sessions include fundamentals of bone pathophysiology, presentations on experimental animal models for bone, soft tissue and muscle diseases, in vivo imaging approaches applied to bone and muscle in preclinical animal models along with examples of clinical translation and correlations with histopathology findings, clinical pathology biomarkers for the musculo-skeletal system, examples of compound induced lesions in soft tissue, bone and muscle, presentations on the evaluation of devices for the skeletal system in animal models with examples of clinical translation, as well as overviews on preclinical safety evaluation of biomaterials and devices for musculo-skeletal system.

"Side topics"
The sessions include a range of lectures dealing with items and issues of major general interest in preclinical safety and particularly in toxicologic pathology: global regulatory perspectives on pathology endpoints in tox studies, Pathology Peer Review in nonclinical safety studies, Pathology Working Groups, perspectives and recommendations on the optimal interactions between Industry Sponsors and Contract Research Organizations in the global scenario of outsourcing activities in support of preclinical development.
We intend to provide interactive discussions in these sessions between our speakers and colleagues, to learn and exchange knowledge from our experiences in these challenging fields.

For details of the congress program, please see the program and for updated information, please visit our website www.eurotoxpath.org.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Stresa on September 11th, 2012.

On behalf of the Scientific and Local Organizing Committee

    Sincerely,
Francesco Marchesi, Wolfgang Kaufmann & Michela Carbonatto

    Dear Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure and an honor to extend you a warm invitation to attend the 11th International Conference of the International Mesothelioma Interest Group (iMig 2012), to be held September 11 – 14, 2012 at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Building on the success of previous meetings, the Conference will feature workshops, debates, poster sessions and breakout symposia including topics such as immunology, immunotherapy, imaging, pathology as well as surgical pitfalls and challenges. The Conference will provide the ideal forum to stimulate ideas and establish collaborations as well as to initiate intense discussions about surgery, pathology, new treatments, relevance of biological data and animal models. Poster viewing opportunities and interactive sessions will foster communications between delegates. Another scientific emphasis will be molecular biology and the sequencing of the mesothelioma genome.

Boston is renowned for its cultural facilities, world-class educational institutions, champion sports franchises, as well as its place at the very forefront of American history. Located on the Boston waterfront in the bustling Seaport District, the Seaport Hotel with the adjoining World Trade Center offers great meeting space and accommodations with dazzling city and harbor views and incredibly convenient access to all major points of interest including the Financial District, Freedom Trail, Faneuil Hall and the Italian North End. It is also very closely located to Boston Logan International Airport.
