[color=#333333]Since 1992, the Great Lakes International Imaging and Flow Cytometry Association (GLIIFCA) has brought together researchers, clinicians, and trainees from academia and industry to present and discuss the latest technology, applications and scientific advances in flow and image cytometry.[/color]

This event will be held 28th to 30th September 2012 in Cape Town at the African Pride Crystal Towers Hotel & Spa *****. This is a special event for Pathology, as the Federation of South African Societies of Pathology (FSASP) and the Association of Pathologists of East, Central and Southern Africa (APECSA) formed a partnership for the first time in over a decade for this congress. The meeting is being supported by the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC).[/size][/font][/color]

[color=#666666][font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][size=3]An attractive scientific programme has been developed by the respective societies, with presentations from the fields of Virology, Immuno and Haematopathology, Clinical Biochemistry and Medical Microbiology. There will be a strong focus on laboratory management, the importance of laboratory medicine services to clinical medicine and the safety of patients. Postgraduate students and other trainees will be given ample opportunity to present their research findings and discuss their work with their peers. Several keynote speakers from across the globe will be presenting at this meeting.[/size][/font][/color]
