Case 517 (R. Carr) Male 70 years, annular lesion with atrophic centre on hand: dorsum.

GA pattern. Elastic tissue stain (not shown) revealed large area of central loss of elastic, and intermediate zone of GC’s and histiocytes with elastophagocytosis. Elastophagocytosis is a non-specific reaction where there are GC’s and histiocytes. Philosophical discussion re position of actinic granuloma vis a vis GA.
