Case 647 30.11.12 (P. McKee/S. Attili) M 33 widespread papules

Heavy upper dermal infiltrate with vacuolated histiocytes and foamy giant cells. PAS (not visible) showed budding organisms within GC’s. Narrow based budding suggesting Cryptococcosis was seen rather than the typical broad-based budding of blastomycosis. Most comments were in favour of blastomycosis. Diagnosis not confirmed by culture.

12 M with verrucous plaque on the left foot, treated as a corn for many years but gradually increasing in size.
