Cellular angiofibroma (aka angiofibroblastoma-like lesion)

Case 1539  18.5.16  (H. Diwan)  M 53 “inguinal lymph node” 

Bland spindle cells with fusiform nuclei and eosinophilic, rather myxoid cytoplasm.  Numerous small blood vessels staining +ve with CD34. 

This is a rare, benign, highly cellular tumour of vulva, scrotum and inguinal region. 

 

Case 1605  19.8.16  (R. Carr)  F 30 anal polyp 

Densely cellular tumour containing small vessels surrounded by bland, rather plump spindle cells.  Muscle markers -ve.  ER strong +ve as it is in 2/3 of these tumours.

Case 2670  30.9.30 (H. Diwan) M 56 inguinal mass 

Dilated blood vessels, bland spindle cells, fibrosis.
