Herpes simplex –bullous EM-like

Case 1063  21.7.14 (M. Hurt)  F 79 widespread vesicles and bullae 

Sub-epidermal split with viral cytopathic effect in epidermis.  Stratum corneum preserved (recent eruption).  Marked lymphocytic dermal infiltrate with vascular congestion.  Herpes simplex IH +ve.
