You have all done well. I agree that there are histochemical differences but at the end of the day, before making a diagnosis of primary cutaneous mucinous carcinoma, I always add a statement to my report telling the clinicians that they must exclude a primary elsewhere before accepting the lesion as being of cutaneous origin.

I have been outside all the day. Just checked the comments now. Agree with Eman, primary mucinous carcinoma is sialidase labile.

Mucin in primary mucinous carcinoma is hyaluronidase resistant and sialidase labile (indicating that its sialomucin) and that feature differentiates it from the metastatic mucinous carcinoma.
