I must say for a guess some of you did really well. It is a filler and constitutes non-animal-based hyaluronic acid - does any one know its name?

This looks like a nice painting!!!! I looked through the list of causes of a blue material in Hx and Eosin sections. This is not bacteria or fungi, not calcium, not KHG, not Mucin, certainly not nuclear material or nuclear dust!!, not solar elastosis (because it is so deep). So I am left with hematoxylin precipitate (during preparation of the section) or foreign material. I prefer a foreign material, mostly an injected filler material. So interesting!!

If you have not had a chance to read Richard's comments on case 85 I would highly recommend it - beautiful description of a porocarcinoma.
