This is an impossible case to diagnose without immunohistochemistry. Never the less it is important that you always remember the rarities when faced with spindled cell tumors. This actually a view of a monophasic synovial sarcoma. The case was kindly shared with me by Alex Lazar, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Hiuston.

Spindle cell proliferation. Cleft like spaces between the cells, focal extravasated RBC's, some areas with ? myxoid stroma. Few capillaries. Thinking in Nodular Fasciitis.
