Welcome into the fold Marie. Don't worry if sometimes you get the diagnosis wrong. We all do!!! Clear cell acanthoma is correct. Hydroacanthoma simplex is composed of small poroid cells and there is evidence of duct formation or intracytoplasmic lumina. The abrupt transition at the edge of the lesion and the presence of neutrophils is characteristic of clear cell acanthoma.
