The clinical information was ?connective tissue naevus in a patient with Tuberose sclerosis. We thought this would do for a connective tissue naevus/"hamartomatous" lesion. I think it illustrates that often the histopathology of lesions can be unique or not that well described.

This is a case from Richard Carr who kindly shared it with me. His clinical information makes the diagnosis much easier. It is a connective tissue nevus. It would be impossible to come to this diagnosis without clinicopathological correlation. Richard, you might like to discuss this case further.

Hyperplastic epidermis, thickened collagen bundles, some are more or less parallel to the epidermis, conspicious blood vessels, few perpendicular to the epidermis, fibroblasts accompanying the collagen bundles but don't appear to be that conspicious, I agree with Marcela that this is a scar, but it might be an old one thus the reduced cellularity..
