I think that this is a pigmented Spitz nevus. I agree that there can be considerable overlap with pigmented spindle cell nevus of Reed. Nevi at special sites are a whole different breed. The atypical vulval nevi section in Eduardo and my atlas on melanocytic pathology covers the topic well. The subject however is too big to discuss in Spot diagnoses and I would recomend reading the textbooks and also perusing some of the more recent articles in Pubmed. I will include a "nevus at special sites" at a later date. Have a great weekend.

Sharply circumscribed jucional nests of varying sizes composed of epithelioid and few spindle cells. Spitz like morphology but this I believe is a feauture of benign naevi at this special site. Dermal component has no mitosis or worrying features either.
