The clinical and the pathological diagnosis was pemphigus. I can understand why some people thought of HSV. I don't have any more information

Oral pemphigus..i think there is a possibility misinterpreting acantholytic basal keratinocytes to be cytopathic.

There is possible tombstoning in the last picture, but I wouldn't say it's enough to diagnose pemphigus vulgaris.
