This is a very difficult case and is probably open to interpretation! It was kindly provided by one of my soft tissue colleagues although to my embarassment, I can't remember whom. A capsule (pseudocapsule) is present on the left side. The tumor cells have pale cytoplasm and uniform round vesicular nuclei. The stroma is myxoid and there is a conspicuous vascularity. Immunohistochemically the cells expressed S100-protein and desmin. The tumor was diagnosed as a non-ossifying variant of ossifying fibromyxoid tumor. I think that this case is very much one for the soft tissue tumor experts (which does not include me)!!
