End-stage fibrosing alopecia due to scalp involvement by lupus erythematosus.
Atrophic epidermis and remnants of folliculosebaceous units have thickened basement membrane with corrugated appearance. Dermal sclerosis and fibrous tracts replacing former terminal hair follicles provide the gross scarring. Striking solar elastosis and telangiectasias are also present. Inflammatory infiltrate is minimal, restricted to the lower segment of the fibrous tracts and shows lupus panniculitis-like features.

Agree with the above. LE profundus: Burned out scarring alopecia with hyaline lobular non-necrotizing panniculitis, fibrous tracts, and DE-like epidermal atrophy/impressively thickened epidermal BM.

Unfortunately I couldn't observe eosinophilic hyalinized necrosis of subcutaneous tissue with lymphocytic dusts consistent with lupus profundus which also clinically presents as depressed plaques.
