Sparse bland small uniform spindle cells, brightly eosinophilic ropey collagen bundles, abundant myxoid matrix and rare mature adipocytes: myxoid variant of spindle cell lipoma in a typical location.

I think these r ropey collagen in a myxoid to hyalinized stroma with sparse spindle cells and few adipocytes. I think this is spindle cell lipoma. In elastofibroma, one sees the thickened beaded elastic fibers in a back ground of a mixture of collagen and adipose tissue. Will love to know the correct answer.

[font="Arial, sans-serif"][size="4"]At first glance, elastofibroma, but I'm not satisfied that those swollen fibers shown in the pictures above are equivalent to the fungal hyphae-like elastic fibers fragmented into petaloid globules distinctively observed in elastofibroma. They might rather be wavy ropey collagen bundles of a myxoid neurofibroma.[/size][/font]

Agree completely with Romualdo and Mona. Myxoid SCL occasionally shows sparse or absent adipocytes.
