68 years-old male. Skin right forearm ?Scleroderma (atypical) ?systemic sclerosis and
scleroderma. Scl 70 negative, tight skin face peri-oral arms legs and trunk.

Fibroblast proliferation, thick collagen bundles with mucin deposition (widened spaces between collagen bundles), scleromyxedema.

There is irregular proliferation of fibroblasts and increased collagen deposition with whorled pattern. Clear spaces [color=#1C2837][font=arial, verdana, tahoma, sans-serif][size=4]between collagen bundles [/size][/font][/color]seem to be deposits of mucin. As involvement of the subcutis is lacking (characteristic of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis), my diagnosis is [i]scleromyxedema[/i]. Clinical features support this hypothesis.

Scleromyxedema was our diagnosis.
