45-year-old male with a lesion on his right nose, with the clinical of nevus vs. BCC. Patient has a pending kidney biopsy performed for reasons that I am not aware of.

Yes, this was a very interesting case of LCH that we have seen and enjoyed before, but still it is a lovely case. Kidney was the clue as Dr Richard Carr said but it was the kidney shaped nuclei not the kidney biopsy that he meant :-))

Not seen such conspicuous longitudinal nuclear grooves in a case of LCH (would confirm with CD1a, S100 protein etc) ... thanks for the high quality photomicrographs.

It's good to achieve the correct diagnosis in a difficult case that made me get wrong in a recent past. This sense of self confidence is a sign that I'm really aware that I learned with it.

Hi all, this is indeed the same isolated, incidental focus of langerhans cell histiocytosis adjacent to nevus, I'll check what happened with this case.
