Why do you favor the diffuse variant?

Giant cell tumor of tendon sheath. This was a well-circumscribed tumor.

Robledo, I favored the diffuse variant based principally on the anatomical distribution of lesions: I read in Enzinger's book that 12 of 40 cases of the diffuse variant were located in the ankle/foot region but only 10 of 208 cases of the localized variant were located in this same region.
