81 year-old male with punch biopsy of lesion from left back. He has had 2 other similar lesions in the past, at other anatomic locations.

Marginal zone lymphoma, possibly primary.

Primary cutaneous marginal zone lymphoma. Excellent prognosis. Trunk is also a typical location. These plasma cells probably show light chain restriction.

Agree with primary cutaneous marginal zone lymphoma. Dense infiltrate of small cleaved and non-cleaved lymphocytes and of plasma cells with pleomorphic nuclei.
Reactive lymphoid hyperplasia must be ruled out.

Yes, marginal zone lymphoma, with kappa light chain restrictions. The patient has had two other lesions in the past at other sites, both with light chain restriction, but with lambda restriction.
