35 year old male with numerous papules forming a lacy annular pattern on the glans penis. A p16 was performed.

The histopathology and the clinical are typical of LP (genital LP). The strong P16 positivity is also found in LP. Nice :-)

I agree that both clinical picture and histopathological findings are classic of LP. however, I am still worried about the band-like staining of P16 (seen in cases of Intraepithelial neoplasia) so I'd like to do Ki67.

Histology typical of lichen planus. Not sure why the p16 was done, as no obvious cytological atypical. Does the diffuse positivity indicate greater risk of malignant transformation??

Lichen planus. This case belonged to a colleague of mine and I wanted to include p16 to show the level of positivity that can be seen in LP. Important to correlate with cytology as pointed out by arti. Ki67 very low and this level of p16 positivity is not significant in this context.
