Mixed septal and lobular panniculitis with prominent lipomembranous (membranocystic change). The latter can occur in a number of conditions including including erythema nodosum, lipodermatosclerosis, traumatic fat necrosis, membranous lipodystrophy etc. Needs clinical correlation!

Dear all

Thank you for the comments. The final diagnosis was lipomembranous panniculitis. As stated by Arti this morphological change can be seen in a number of conditions including including erythema nodosum, lipodermatosclerosis, traumatic fat necrosis, membranous lipodystrophy; as such we were not given any further information.
