Case History: The patient is a 44 year old white man in end-stage renal diabetes. An excision with margin exam if malignant is taken from the left lower leg.

Congrats to all. This is, indeed, calciphylaxis. The clinician called before this biopsy was taken to inquire about what kind of specimen was needed. I indicated that he needed to obtain adipose tissue in a full thickness skin biopsy. He didn't disappoint.
