53 year old male with 4 month history of papule on the back. No other skin lesions, no fever, no lymphadenopathy, and otherwise well.

Agree, RDD. Pure cutaneous variants do not show lymphadenopathy or systemic involvement.

Rosai Dorfman disease. Dr. Dorfman was a mentor of mine (one of the perks of my training at Stanford). Wonderful man and superb hematopathologist. Thought I would post this in his memory.
