Clinical History: 49 year-old female with 10-day history of facial erythema, increasing areas over five days, and erythematous papules on trunk and extremities.

A psoriasiform dermatitis with thick and squared rete ridges, checkerboard pattern of para/ortokeratosis and keratin plugging makes me think of PRP.  Clinically fits well ( a craniocaudal spreading of the erythematous scaling rash-if I understand correctly).

Psoriasiform reaction pattern with alternating orthokeratosis and parakeratosis in horizontal and vertical direction. Thick suprapapillary plates.

Pityriasis rubra pilaris
