If clinical impression was onychomatricoma this biopsy although not typical would be compatible (orientation of nail sections is a known issue in nail pathology, particularly with this tumor). The increased presence of mast cells in the fibrous cores is also a clue for onychomatricoma

Anastomosing deep multilayered epithelial strands invaginating into the surrounding cellular fibrovascular stroma, suggestive of onychomatricoma.

Completely agree with all. Horizontal sections highlight the typical fibroepithelial projections. Nice fibrovascular stroma.
