Yes, this was a case of hybrid nerve sheath tumor (schwannoma/perineurioma). This tumors are infrequent and usually sporadic (rare cases of schwannoma/neurofibromare seen in a context of neurofibromatosis). Morphologically, in this case we see a mixture of schwann cells (eosinophilic cytoplasm and plump nuclei) and perineurial cells (slender delicate nuclei with thin delicate cytoplasmic processes). These cells are nicely remarked with s100 and EMA respectively. In addition, these lesions typically have a low proliferative index.
