I see some amorphous eosinohilic material around dermal vessels along with intersticial red cell extravasation and plasma cell infiltration. I think this is Nodular amyloidosis. I would recommend systemic workup in case of confirmation of the amyloid deposition after use of special stain (congo red) and polarized light.

In the dermis there is vascular damage with deposition of fibrinous material and perivascular chronic inflammatory cells

could it be a rheumatoid nodule

Nodular amyloidosis. Workup to exclude systemic amyloidosis.

Sincerely I was thinking of an acquired elastotic hemangioma(cavernous type), but the  Colleagues comments are intriguing me...And the plasma cells are in keeping with amyloidosis.
