Agree.  This lesion doesn't look atrophic to me.  Perhaps this is a newer lesion, and older ones have become atrophic.

Agree with LE, but maybe a subacute variant for me. There is inflammatory activity.

along with interface features there is parakeratosis and i think fungi. was PAS done?
