F55 ,Hair fall and skin rash involving the face (including peri-oral area), hands, forearms, feet, buttocks, groin and inguinal folds. The rash is erythematous, dry and desquamative (flaky). She also has edema of both limbs and glossitis. She has some mental confusion. The patient has performed intestinal bypass surgery in 2015 which was complicated by chronic diarrhea. The skin manifestations started to appear around the end of 2019.

Agree. Acrodermatitis Enteropatica. Secondary to intestinal malabsorption.

It is definitely a case of multiple nutritional deficiency secondary to chronic diarrhea complicating the intestinal bypass surgery (the skin rash showed overlapping features of acrodermatitis enteropathica and pellagra).
