Atypical special site nevus.

There is a worrying lentiginous growth and basal epidermal consumption, but only focal  and there is a symmetrical maturation of the lesion.

Agree. Atypia can be attributed to nevus of special site.

It appears the site was down for a few days for me. I've asked the dermpathpro team to post the IHC on this case.

Atypical compound melanocytic nevus, may be related to special site.

We favoured a special site naevus and the IHC is supportive of a benign diagnosis. It is incumbent to ensure complete excision of diagnostically challenging lesions especially when the clinician is concerned for a melanoma. It is a shame they did not remove the lesion completely at the first attempt.
