Granulation tissue with what looks like either plant seeds or possibly arthropods??  Ticks???

Agree with above. It seems half plant material half insect/arthropod-like tissues.

Dear Dr. Baksh,

 

That is a very interesting diagnosis.  In 45 years as a Dermatologist I have never seen a case, nor is there a previous example in Dermpathpro to date.  Was this diagnosis confirmed clinically?  The reason I am sceptical is the rarity of this as a diagnosis.  Also, the reticulate appearance in the third photomicrogaph, within the lowest cyst, looks very like plant structure, rather than the cross-section of a mite.
