Description: Cosmetic Surgery Forum 2011 is a multi-specialty CME symposium to facilitate education and discourse on the most timely issues in cosmetic dermatology and surgery. With outstanding reviews from the last two years and a faculty that has grown to encompass new participants , this year promises to be a great opportunity to learn and exchange information. The concept of this course is that it is interactive - just like the best courses you took in college and medical school! Instead of the same, boring lectures you have seen in many medical education environments, you are now a part of the course and have the opportunity to learn in this interesting manner. Dermatologists, core cosmetic surgeons, residents, and fellows will all benefit from attending this course.

Description: This three-day course will provide the attendee with a multidisciplinary review of standard of care management practices and state of the art advances in care of the patient with cutaneous melanoma. This course is designed for dermatologists, surgeons, oncologists, physicians in internal medicine, family practice and general practice. The first day will focus on epidemiology, prevention, pathology, genetic syndromes, advances in genomics, imaging and medical and surgical treatment in association with melanoma. The last two days are an in-depth immersion into Dermoscopy for imaging of melanocytic and non-melanocytic skin lesions. Participants will develop practical skills that will enable them to be more comfortable approaching patients with atypical skin lesions. This dermoscopy section is primarily targeted to clinicians, but educators and residents will find it valuable as a springboard to develop Dermoscopy training programs.
