Arterioles v. veins (histological differentiation)

Case 1068 28.7.14 (U, Sundram) F 16 papules/nodules lower legs. (case of PAN)

Smooth muscles bundles are continuous in arterioles (as here) rather than in veins where they are interrupted by collagen fibres. Also, elastic tissue stain shows internal elastic lamina in arterioles but not in veins
