Case 392   Dec 2011 (P. McKee)  F 51 SLE buttock lump 

Calcification with granulomatous response.  Similar to tumoral calcinosis.  ? calcified lupus profundus. 

 

Case 1041  19.6.14 (H. Diwan)  M 13 canthus (subepidermal calcified nodule variant)  (*teaching) 

Striking deposits of dark blue amorphous material in papillary and mid-dermis.  Moderate underlying reactive inflammatory response.  Characteristic site, age and sex. Normal biochemistry. 

 

Case 1897  5.9.17 (U. Sundram) F 70 thumb 

Focus of papillary dermal calcification with trans-epidermal elimination.  Secondary to MCTD. 

 

Case 2082  30.5.18 (H. Diwan)  M 11 eyelid (sub-epidermal calcified nodule) 

Calcified nodules without inflammation, FB reaction or evidence of pre-exisiting pilomatrixoma.  An “adult type” SECN in a child.

Large foci of dystrophic calcinosis in upper dermis.

Tenosynovitis with idiopathic, psammomatous calcification
