Giant cell tumour of tendon sheath

Showed osteoclast-like giant cells. 

 

Case 1000  23.4.14 (H.Diwan)  F  30 finger nodule 

Dense fibromatous tumour containing spindle to oval cells with slightly atypical nucleiSome giant cells. This diagnosis was debated – some wondering about sclerosing epithelioid fibrosarcoma

Mixture of mononuclear, xanthomatous and giant cells is typical 

Two variants: diffuse, perhaps this one: Enzinger series 12/40 on ankle; localised only 10/208 on ankle.
