Apocrine hidradenoma

Operations Pathhub

Case 969 11.3.14 (M. Hurt)  F 76 naso-labial fold

Solid-cystic hidradenoma, arising from epidermis. Papillary. Contains both clear and squamoid cells in sclerotic stroma.  Not easy to classify.

Case 724   26.3.13  (H. Diwan)  M 28 trunk nodule (clear cell variant)

Solid-cystic tumour embedded in a hyalinized stroma. The predominant solid nodular component comprises lobules of bland polygonal cells with eosinophilic or clear cytoplasm. Ductal differentiation can be seen

Case 1198  26.1.15 (M. Hurt)  M 67 scalp nodule

I found this confusing.  Solid, cystic pattern with haemorrhage in cysts.  Walls show apocrine secretion and mucinous metaplasia.  Rather pleomorphic with clear cell change.
