Case 1196 22.1.15 (H. Diwan)
Some slides missing. Those visible showed dermal necrosis with a largely neutrophilic infiltrate. Epidermal views apparently showed keratinocyte necrosis with Guarneri bodies – these are eosinophilic cytoplasmic inclusions typical of pox virus infection (including molluscum).
Case 1486 4.3.16 (R.Carr) F 30 (pregnant) chest lesion
Intense, pan-dermal inflammation with folliculocentricity (characteristic). Full thickness epidermal necrosis. Lymphocytes, eosinophils, CD30+ve cells, plasma cells. Guarneri-body eosinophilic cytoplasmic inclusions.
