Case 46  Aug 2010 (P. McKee) – lovely example showing large polyhedral cells (*teaching) 

DD: congenital epulis; congenital granular cell tumour (S100-ve) 

 

Case 686  31.1.13 (H. Diwan)  F 29 black lesion arm.  (Malignant version) 

S100-ve; CD163 +veGranular cells, rather pleomorphic with one abnormal mitosisDiagnosis debated with DD below. 

DD: histiocytic sarcoma (CD163 +ve – not pleomorphic enough. 

        Granular cell variant of epithelioid DF. 

 

Case 1209  10.2.15 (U. Sundram)  M 88 firm nodule abdo. (*teaching) 

v. nice example. Strongly S100+ve. 

 

Case 1363  14.9.15   (IH Chaudhry)  F 49 “cyst” shoulder 

The granular cells here are distributed singly and in columns between the collagen bundles and adjacent to nerves.
