Granulomata not well formed.  Necrobiosis.

Showed also some elastophagocytosis, prompting discussion on actinic granuloma as alternative diagnosis.

GA in sun-damaged skin: “actinic“ granuloma.  CD63 strong +ve (macrophages)

Presence of interstitial mucin suggested REM to some commentators. 

Case 4286  26.6.23 (M. Abdel-Halim) F 62 diabetic. Lesions both hands. 

Some thought interstitial pattern, but clinical history more suggestive of standard GA.
