Acute Generalised Exanthematous Pustulosis (AGEP)

Case 1444 (H. Diwan) 59 year-old male with generalized rash. This biopsy is from the right forearm.

Slides overexposed.  Acanthosis, spongiosis, sub-corneal vesicles containing cells which look mainly neutrophils, but apparently some eos there as well.  Some suggested miliaria (in a 59 year old!) 

 

Case 1598 (H. Diwan) 26 year-old female with acute onset rash with pustules.

Overexposed.  Sub-corneal pustules.  Apparently there were some eos but impossible to see them. 

 

Case 1756 (L. Yu) 61 year old male bullae on right thigh.

Gross papillary oedema with sub-corneal pustule 

 

Case 2859 (U. Sundram) 77 year old male with morbilliform eruption.

Intra-epidermal pustules with acantholysis.  DIF -ve and herpes not favoured clinically. 

 

Case 4187 (U. Sundram) 94 year old female with new rash.

Papillary oedema; intra-epidermal and intra-corneal pustules.
